Four weeks ago I had the same predicament. Attend the Friday afternoon Cubs game, the Milwaukee Brewers night game or the Chicago Sky game. Most people would never consider attending a WNBA game over a Major League Baseball game but that is what I ended up deciding today for obvious reasons. First, I had to work – meaning the afternoon baseball game was out. Second, even though I am working in the northwest suburbs, I would get home too late from Milwaukee – probably around midnight.
Thus, the Chicago Sky was …

Last year the Chicago Sky hosted camp day at the UIC Pavilion – a Wednesday afternoon game in July. That day I received a free ticket outside of the arena and my seat was in the row behind the New York Liberty bench.
This year the Sky repeated the camp day event with an afternoon game at Allstate Arena. Since my office is only a 15-20 minute drive from Allstate Arena I decided to take a long lunch and attend the game. And, once again, as I approached the box office …

For the first time this season, the Chicago Sky is playing home games at Allstate Arena – a drastic change in venue from the UIC Pavilion where they have played the past four seasons. In continuing my support of women’s basketball this year (I attended nine NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball games this winter), the Ultimate Sports Wife and I attended the Chicago Sky 2008 home opener last night at the UIC Pavilion. In the past, I have had to buy tickets at the ticket window for Sky games (cheapest seat is $15), since scalpers tend not to show up where tickets are cheap and the volume is low. I had planned to buy two $15 tickets last night while hoping I could find …

The Ultimate Sports Wife and I are attending the Chicago Sky’s home opener tonight. One might ask – why would you attend a WNBA game when the Chicago White Sox are playing tonight as well. The answer to that is easy – the neighborhood the Chicago Sky plays by (Little Italy) is much better than the area around US Cellular Field.
Which got me thinking – if one was to attend only one game to attend with their significant other during the week – how would you …
