It was a beautiful night for a baseball game at Wrigley Field after a rain filled and poor Cubs performance the previous night. The Cubs defeated the Oakland Athletics 6-2 as Cedric the Entertainer sang the seventh inning stretch.
The highlight of the night was Alfonso Soriano sacrifice bunting for the first time as a Chicago Cubs player and the first time in four years.
I normally judge how much rain Chicago gets based on the number of rain delays and postponements during the season. Last year I “went” to four postponed games and two games that were rain-shortened (which doubled my rain-shortened game attendance). That was the most postponed games I have “attended” in any season.
Tonight, the Cubs game versus the Oakland Athletics was delayed by rain for 101 minutes. And, while I do not keep track of rain delayed games, this was my first delayed game this season. The game did not start …

Whichever team wins more games between the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox claims the cup until the next season.
The fourth was just …

This was the case on Thursday afternoon as my Dad flew in from San Francisco and was scheduled to land at 1:00 pm. The White Sox game was scheduled to start at 1:05 pm so the race was on. However, my Dad did not land until 1:20 pm but since he did not check bags he was in the car before 1:30 pm.
