NFL Divisional Playoff: Seahawks at Bears

17 January 2011 No Comment

It was the Bears first playoff game since the 2007 NFC Championship game. As I had done throughout the regular season, I tailgated with the friend Mike Holzman and the Ultimate Sports Wife before the game.

Beg, Borrow and Deal
I already had my season tickets for the game today. However, I have noticed that the secondary market in Chicago for the divisional playoff weekend is soft in the days leading up to the game. I am not sure why it is soft, but wait to buy tickets to a wild card or divisional playoff weekend because ticket prices are sure to decrease.

NFL Divisional Playoffs at Soldier Field

Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears
Four years ago the Bears hosted Seattle in the divisional playoffs at Soldier Field. That time, the Seahawks pushed the Bears to overtime but the Bears eventually won.

This time the Bears dominated the Seahawks taking a 28-0 lead with 4:12 remaining in the third quarter. The Seahawks figured out how to score in the fourth quarter but it was too late. Jay Cutler threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two touchdowns as the Bears won 35-24 and advanced to the NFC Championship Game.
