Final Four Game #2: West Virginia vs. Duke

4 April 2010 No Comment

As is the case with most rounds of the NCAA tournament, two games are included in the purchase price of the ticket. Obviously, the second game of the day was between West Virginia and Duke which was relatively uneventful. Duke took an early lead and continued to extend the lead throughout the game. They defeated West Virginia convincingly 78-57.

Even though we did not take advantage of it, fans should consider buying tickets in the upper deck at the Final Four and then sneak into the fans section of the teams not playing. For example, when Michigan St. and Butler were playing there were plenty of seats in the Duke and West Virginia fan sections and vice verse when Duke and West Virginia were on the court. Even though you will have to work to find an empty seat the price difference between the upper levels and the lower levels can be great.

On the ride back to Chicago after the second game, I considered driving back to Indianapolis Monday night after the Chicago White Sox home opener. But, then I started to think, if Butler and Duke were playing at the United Center in a regular season contest (as Duke and Iowa State did earlier this season) I would probably not attend. Thus, why would I drive three hours one way to see the same game.
