20 Rebound Night: Bucks at Bulls

Tonight Luol Deng had 20 rebounds. It was just the eighth time I have seen a player bring down 20 or more rebounds in a single game. The other seven can be found here. The Chicago Bulls ended up winning the game 83-81 but neither team wanted to win the game down the stretch.

The Bulls took the 83-81 lead with 21 seconds left. With 14 seconds left Derrick Rose blocked Brandon Jenning’s 12-foot jumper, Joakim Noah rebounded the shot and drew the foul. Noah proceeded to miss both free throws to keep the Bucks in the game. However, the Bucks could not come up with a good play to tie the game and Ersan Ilyasova missed a 27-foot three point shot with one second left to win the game for the Bucks.

Obtaining Tickets
When I attended the Bulls pre-season game versus the Bucks three weeks ago I bought $10 tickets to 10 games this season. Last night was one of those 10 games. Usually I advise showing up at the United Center to buy tickets for a Bulls game. However, with the next price point higher at $40 there are not many fans willing to part with their ticket for less than $20 and beating $10 is nearly impossible. Since you can sit nearly anywhere in the United Center I buy $10 tickets at the beginning of the season for games I know I can attend to save myself the hassle of negotiating with scalpers or fans. I then end up sitting in the $40 or $60 seats in the upper deck.
