BLUE JEAN RACER raced off the rail near the middle of the field and showed courage to turn back OUT OF HERE. OUT OF HERE lacked speed off the rail, came four wide into the stretch and rallied to challenge but could not get past the winner. THE RAIN KING pressed the pace between foes but weakened a bit in the drive. SILVER DREAMER set the pace three wide while pressed but could not last. COPE WITH AN IMAGE was never a factor. MUTED raced close up off the rail and tired. GEHRIG was always outrun. DELICIOUS DEVIL raced close up inside and tired. |

GOLDEN APPLES (IRE) broke a bit slowly, moved to the inside soon after the start, settled in good position along the backstretch, launched a rally three wide leaving the turn, closed the gap in upper stretch, surged to the front nearing the sixteenth pole then held off ASTRA under steady right hand urging. ASTRA reserved early, raced well back for seven furlongs, angled to the outside entering the stretch then finished well in the middle of the track but could not overtake the winner. ENGLAND'S LEGEND (FR) sprinted clear in the early stages, set the pace under pressure while saving ground on the turn, maintained a clear advantage into upper stretch, dug in when challenged in midstretch then weakened under pressure in the final seventy yards. VOLGA (IRE) outrun early, was unhurried for a mile, trailed while saving ground into upper stretch then rallied belatedly between horses. GOLDEN SILCA (GB) steadied along the inside soon after the start, tracked the leaders while saving ground along the backstretch, raced in close contention while continuing to saved ground on the turn, dropped back leaving the quarter pole then steadily tired thereafter. TATES CREEK never far back, stalked the pace from outside to the turn then tired from her early efforts. |

BEAT HOLLOW (GB) never far back, stalked the pace from outside along the backstretch, edged close while launching his bid three wide on the turn, made a run outside FORBIDDEN APPLE to challenge in upper stretch, battled heads apart leaving the furlong marker, surged to the front gaining a slim lead a sixteenth out, fought gamely into deep stretch and prevailed in a long drive. SARAFAN raced up close along the inside going into the first turn, moved off the rail midway down the backstretch, dropped back while between horses approaching the far turn, swung four wide for clear sailing nearing the stretch then finished strongly in the middle of the track but could not get up. FORBIDDEN APPLE outsprinted rivals for the early advantage, set the pace along the inside to the turn, dug in when challenge in upper stretch, fought gamely inside the winner into deep stretch and yielded grudgingly. ULUNDI (GB) was unhurried while racing well back for a mile, circled six wide on the turn then rallied belatedly in the middle of the track. FALCON FLIGHT (FR) between horses early, was reserved for six furlongs, saved ground while gaining slightly on the turn, made a run along the inside to reach contention in upper stretch, then took up sharply while trapped along the rail a sixteenth out losing all chance. PAOLINI (GER) rank early, was reserved for a half, made a strong middle move along the fence to reach contention on the backstretch, raced just behind the winner while attempting to move out leaving the turn, then lacked room while trapped between horses for most of the stretch run. CHESHIRE (GB) settled in the middle of the pace for seven furlongs, raced within striking distance while four wide on the turn then faded in the stretch. FREEFOURINTERNET saved ground while well back for most of the trip, never reached contention. MYSTERY GIVER forced the pace between horses to the far turn and gave way. |

CHISELLING taken in hand early, checked slightly between horses going into the first turn, raced well back along the backstretch, swung six wide while launching his bid leaving the turn then finished full of run from outside to nip JAZZ BEAT in the final strides. JAZZ BEAT (IRE) stalked the early pace from outside, accelerated to the front while in hand on the turn, extended his lead opening a clear advantage in upper stretch, continued on the front into deep stretch but couldn't withstand the winners late charge. EXTRA CHECK sprinted clear soon after the start, set an honest pace while saving ground for seven furlongs, relinquished the lead approaching the stretch, dropped back a bit in upper stretch then fought back gamely to hold for a share. MAJOR RHYTHM raced in good position along the inside, angled between horses while edging closer on the turn, made a run to threaten entering the stretch but couldn't sustain his bid. MANANAN MCLIR was shuffled back slightly along the rail going into the first turn, moved to the outside approaching the backstretch, worked his way forward while five wide to reach contention on the turn then flattened out in the stretch. LOVE REGARDLESS raced within striking distance from outside for seven furlongs and faded. ORCHARD PARK failed to mount a serious rally. |
