Anaheim Ducks at Chicago Blackhawks by Ultimate Sports Fan, Andrew
I bought an $8 student ticket last night. The Blackhawks shutout their opponent for the 3rd consecutive Wednesday - all games I have attended. A couple of things occurred during the game that I have not seen much before.

1) The Blackhawks had a 7 minute power play – including two minutes of 5-on-3. The advantage occurred after Anaheim’s George Parros began punching Chicago’s Ben Eager with 58 seconds left in the first period, but Eager did not fight back. Parros was assessed both a fighting major and instigator minor.
2) Patrick Sharp scored an empty net, short handed goal without putting the puck in the net after he was penalized on a break away with an empty net.
