\"\"<\/a>Looks like Peter Meehan of the N.Y. Times<\/a> beat me to the culinary punch- reviewing the best (and worst) in ballpark food from around MLB. Of course, the action is on the field, but a perk of going to the park is the chance for great food- beyond the peanuts and Cracker Jacks. Take a peak at the interactive map<\/a> which has the highlights of the “culinary scorecard.” Beyond my favorite ballpark food at Miller Park<\/a>, Safeco Field scored high for their planked salmon, Dodger Stadium for their pastrami hero, and PNC Park for their Primanti Brothers sandwich.<\/div>\n

Chicago, as a city, came up very disappointing. You would think that the Chicago Cubs would have amazing food to match their amazing park. But, it is just average. (Now, I could have told you that). I think the Cubs know it as well so they are very lenient about letting you bring in your own snacks. My advice: find a favorite hot dog stand around the park and “import” your own chicago dog and fries into the Wrigley. It is perfectly legal and you can save some money for beer.<\/div>\n

As for that “other” park in Chicago, it did significantly worse than average. According to the N.Y. Times, here is what you should eat at U.S. Cellular: “Nothing. Your best bet is to bring a six-pack to the parking lot and barter a cold one for a tailgater’s hot dog.” Now, I couldn’t have said that better.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
