HP Pavilion 525 W Santa Clara St, San Jose, CA

Stadium Review
History
The San Jose Arena opened in 1993 and is home to the NHL’s San Jose Sharks. It is also the venue for the SAP Open on the men’s professional tennis tour held annually in February.

The arena hosted the NHL Western Conference Finals in 2004 and the NHL All-Star Game on January 18, 1997.

In addition, the arena hosted the 1996 United States Figure Skating Championships, the 1999 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament Final Four, ArenaBowl XVI (August 18, 2002), the 2007 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament West Regional, the 2007 USA Gymnastics Visa Championships and the 2010 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament First and Second Rounds.

Parking
HP Pavilion has a limited number of parking places which are reserved for parking passes. There are a number of independent parking lots in downtown San Jose that are within a reasonable walking distance to the arena. Obviously the further you park away the cheaper parking becomes.

Public Transportation
If you are coming from San Francisco or the Peninsula consider taking Caltrain which stops within one block of the arena.

Location of Ticket Scalpers
Ticket scalpers tend to congregate underneath the Guadalupe Pkwy viaduct along Santa Clara St.
