Harry Caray’s 10 year anniversary (September 21, 2007) by Ultimate Sports Fan, Andrew

We are going to our third straight Cubs game. We bought standing room tickets for today. Normally we can find seats in Wrigley without any problems.

With our SRO tickets in hand, we found seats in the second to last row of Section 204 and only had to move a few seats over one time during yesterday's Cubs game.

The Cubs won on a 6 RBI day by Aramis Ramirez. The last 6 RBI game I saw was on July 6, 2007, when Jason Kubel had 7 RBI in Minnesota's 20-14 win over the White Sox.

Yesterday was also the 10 year anniversary of Harry Caray singing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley Field for the last time. Dutchie Caray (Harry’s wife) sang the 7th inning stretch yesterday, while the Cubs replayed the tape of Harry singing the stretch from 10 years ago. I was also at that game 10 years ago. At the time, we had no idea it would be Harry's last stretch. The Cubs beat the Philles 11-3 on Sept. 21, 1997 and they won 13-6 on Sept. 21, 2007.

“Cubs Win! Cubs Win!”
